Log Dose from Watch
Logging a dose from your Apple Watch is fast and convenient—perfect for right after your injection when you might not have your phone handy.
How to Log a Dose
Step 1: Open GLPea
- Tap the GLPea complication on your watch face, OR
- Press the Digital Crown and find GLPea in your apps
Step 2: Tap Log Dose
On the main screen, tap the Log Dose button.
Step 3: Select Injection Site
You'll see a simplified body diagram:
- Abdomen (left/right)
- Thigh (left/right)
- Arm (left/right)
Tap where you injected. The Watch shows your previous site to help with rotation.
Step 4: Confirm
Review the details:
- Current date and time
- Your dose (from your protocol)
- Selected injection site
Tap Log to confirm.
Step 5: Done!
You'll see a confirmation and feel a haptic tap. Your countdown automatically updates.
Watch vs. iPhone Logging
Watch Advantages
- Speed: Log in under 10 seconds
- Convenience: No need to find your phone
- Immediate: Do it right after injecting
Watch Limitations
- Simplified site selection: Less detailed than iPhone
- No notes: Can't add notes from Watch
- No date changes: Logs with current time only
When to Use iPhone Instead
- Logging a past dose (different date/time)
- Adding notes to your log
- Detailed injection site selection
Adjusting Time
The Watch app logs doses with the current time. If you need to log a dose from a different time:
- Log quickly on Watch, then
- Open iPhone app
- Go to History
- Find the entry and tap Edit
- Adjust the date/time
Injection Site Selection on Watch
The Watch shows a simplified body map:

Previous Site Indicator
Your last injection site is highlighted, reminding you to choose a different area this time.
After Logging
Once you log:
- Haptic confirmation - Watch taps your wrist
- Visual confirmation - Success message
- Countdown updates - Shows new next dose time
- Syncs to iPhone - Entry appears in History
Quick Tips
Have Watch Ready
On injection day, have your Watch charged and nearby. Log immediately after injecting.
Use Complications
Set up a GLPea complication for one-tap access to the app.
Check Sync
After logging, glance at your iPhone later to confirm the dose synced correctly.
Troubleshooting
Log Button Not Responding
- Ensure you're signed in (check iPhone app)
- Check Watch-iPhone connection
- Force close and reopen the Watch app
Site Selection Not Working
- Make sure you're tapping directly on an area
- Try tapping the text label if the diagram is hard to hit
- Ensure Watch screen is responsive (not wet or smudged)
Dose Not Showing on iPhone
- Open GLPea on iPhone
- Wait a moment for sync
- Pull down to refresh History
- If still missing, check Watch connection
Wrong Dose Amount
The Watch uses your current protocol dose. To change it:
- Open iPhone app
- Go to Settings → Edit Protocol
- Update your dose
- Watch will sync the new protocol
Accidentally Logged
If you logged by mistake:
- Open iPhone app
- Go to History
- Find the entry
- Tap to open and Delete
