Language Settings

GLPea supports multiple languages so you can use the app in the language you're most comfortable with.

All app text -- labels, buttons, descriptions, insights, and help content -- is available in each supported language.

Changing Your Language

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Language
  3. Select your preferred language
  4. The app updates immediately -- no restart needed

You don't need to close or reopen GLPea. The language change takes effect as soon as you make your selection, and every screen updates right away.

Push Notifications

When you set a language, GLPea sends push notifications in that language too. This includes:

  • Dose reminders
  • Weekly summaries
  • Milestone celebrations
  • General alerts

Notification language follows your GLPea language setting, not your device's system language. This means you can use your phone in English but receive GLPea notifications in Spanish, for example.

What Changes

When you switch languages, the following updates:

  • All UI text -- Buttons, labels, headings, and descriptions
  • Insights and tips -- AI-generated insights are provided in your language
  • Push notifications -- All notifications switch to the new language
  • Error messages -- Any in-app errors display in your language

What Doesn't Change

Some content remains the same regardless of language:

  • Your logged data -- Notes you've written stay in whatever language you typed them in
  • Medication names -- Brand names (Ozempic, Mounjaro, etc.) are not translated
  • Provider reports -- These are generated in English for medical accuracy

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a language not listed?

Currently, GLPea supports the four languages listed above. Additional languages may be added in future updates based on user demand.

Does language affect my data?

No. Changing your language only affects how the app displays information. Your health data, logs, and account details remain exactly the same.

My app didn't update after changing

If some text still appears in the previous language, try scrolling to a different tab and back. In rare cases, closing and reopening the app will resolve this.
