Next Dose Countdown

The countdown timer is the centerpiece of your GLPea dashboard. It shows exactly when your next injection is due and helps you stay on schedule.

How It Works

GLPea calculates your next dose based on:

• Your injection day (set in your protocol)
• Your last logged dose
• The weekly schedule of GLP-1 medications

The countdown updates in real-time, showing days, hours, and minutes until your next injection window.

Reading the Countdown

Days Away

When your next dose is more than 24 hours away, you'll see:

• Number of days remaining
• The date of your next injection
• Your medication and dose

Hours Away

When injection day arrives or is tomorrow, the countdown shows:

• Hours and minutes remaining
• A more urgent visual indicator
• An optional notification (if enabled)

Overdue

If you miss your injection window:

• The countdown shows "Overdue"
• You'll see how many days overdue
• A prompt to log your dose or adjust your schedule

Color Indicators

The countdown ring changes color to help you plan:

Color	Meaning	Action
🟢 Green	3+ days away	No action needed
🟡 Yellow	1-2 days away	Prepare for injection
🔴 Red	Due today	Time to inject!
⚫ Gray	Overdue	Log dose or adjust schedule

When Should I Inject?

GLP-1 medications work best when taken consistently, but you have some flexibility:

• Same day each week is ideal
• Within 2 days of your scheduled day is generally acceptable
• More than 2 days late - check with your healthcare provider

GLPea helps you track timing, but always follow your healthcare provider's specific instructions for your medication.

Adjusting Your Schedule

Changing Injection Day

If you need to permanently change your injection day:

1. Go to Settings → Edit Protocol
2. Select a new injection day
3. Save your changes

Your countdown will recalculate based on the new day.

One-Time Adjustment

If you need to inject a day early or late just once:

1. Log your dose when you actually take it
2. GLPea will automatically adjust the next countdown
3. Your schedule will gradually return to your preferred day

Countdown on Apple Watch

Your Apple Watch shows the countdown in two places:

• Watch app - Open GLPea to see the full countdown
• Complications - Add to your watch face for at-a-glance info

Countdown Notifications

GLPea can remind you when injection day arrives:

1. Go to Settings → Notifications
2. Enable Dose Reminders
3. Choose your preferred reminder time

Troubleshooting

Countdown Shows Wrong Day

If your countdown isn't calculating correctly:

1. Check your protocol settings (Settings → Edit Protocol)
2. Verify your injection day is correct
3. Check that your last logged dose has the right date

Countdown Stuck on "Overdue"

This means you haven't logged a dose recently:

1. Tap Log Dose and record your latest injection
2. If you've been off medication, update your protocol start date
