Community Feed
The Community Feed is an anonymous, supportive space where GLPea users can see each other's milestones. It's designed to provide motivation without compromising anyone's privacy.
What Is the Community Feed?
The Community Feed shows a timeline of milestones achieved by other GLPea users. Think of it as a shared celebration board -- you can see that someone hit a 12-week streak or earned a new badge, and give them a heart to show support.
Completely Anonymous
The Community Feed has no names, no profiles, and no messaging. Every milestone is attributed to a generic label like "A GLPea member." There is no way to identify or contact other users.
What Gets Shared
When sharing is enabled, the following milestones may appear in the feed:
| Milestone Type | Example |
|---|---|
| Streak achievements | "A GLPea member hit a 12-week dose streak" |
| Weight loss milestones | "A GLPea member lost their first 5 lbs" |
| Badge unlocks | "A GLPea member earned the Fifty Strong badge" |
| First dose | "A GLPea member logged their first dose" |
What is never shared:
- Your name or any identifying information
- Specific weight numbers
- Medication names or dosages
- Health details or symptoms
- Check-in content
Heart Reactions
You can tap the heart icon on any milestone to react. Hearts are anonymous too -- the person who achieved the milestone won't know who reacted, just how many hearts they received.
Hearts are a simple way to say "nice work" without any social pressure.
Enabling Community Sharing
Sharing is off by default. To opt in:
- Open Settings
- Tap Share My Milestones

Once enabled, your future milestones will appear in the Community Feed for other users to see. Past milestones are not retroactively shared.
To stop sharing:

Your previously shared milestones will be removed from the feed.

TIP
The Community Feed refreshes automatically, but you can pull down to check for new milestones anytime.
Privacy and Safety
GLPea takes privacy in the Community Feed seriously:
- No accounts are linked -- milestones are detached from your identity
- No direct messages -- there's no way to contact another user
- No profiles -- you can't view anyone's history or details
- Opt-in only -- nothing is shared unless you explicitly enable it
- Reversible -- turn sharing off anytime and your milestones are removed
The Community Feed is designed to be a read-only source of encouragement, not a social network.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can anyone see my specific weight?
No. Weight milestones are shared as relative achievements (e.g., "lost their first 5 lbs") and never include your actual weight numbers.
Will my doctor see my community activity?
No. The Community Feed is completely separate from your health data and provider reports.
Can I block or report content?
Since all content is system-generated milestone announcements (not user-written), there's no user-generated content to moderate. If you see something unexpected, contact support.
Does the Community Feed use extra data?
The feed uses minimal data. Milestones are small text entries, so the impact on your data usage is negligible.
