Tips for Best Results
Speak Clearly
Say "GLPea" as "G-L-Pea" or "Glip-ee-a" - Siri learns your pronunciation.
Quiet Environment
Background noise can affect recognition. Speak in a quieter space for better results.
Full Commands
Use complete phrases like "Log my GLPea dose" rather than just "GLPea log."
Limitations
What Siri Can't Do
- Edit past logs
- Change your protocol
- Log weight or water (dose logging only)
- Add detailed notes
For these actions, use the app directly.
Recognition Issues
If Siri consistently misunderstands:
- Try different phrasing
- Ensure Siri is set to your language
- Report issues: Settings → Siri → Siri & Search → Siri Responses
Troubleshooting
"I can't find that app"
- Verify GLPea is installed
- Check Siri settings for GLPea (enable "Use with Siri")
- Try "Open GLPea" first
Wrong Information
- Ensure your protocol is up to date
- Check that recent doses are logged correctly
- Verify Siri is using the correct app
Commands Not Recognized
- Rephrase the command
- Speak more slowly and clearly
- Check Siri language settings match your speech
"Something went wrong. Please try again." after tapping Turn On
If Siri shows this error during first-time shortcut activation:
- Open GLPea manually once, then fully close it.
- Open the Shortcuts app, search for GLPea, and run Log Dose once.
- Try Siri again with: "Log my medication in GLPea"
- If it still fails, restart iPhone and retry.
If you use Face ID/Touch ID app lock, iOS may show the lock screen when opening GLPea from Siri. Unlock once, then retry the Siri command.
